Changing Scenes

April 13, 2010

This is a big week for our family.  For the last year, my day job has been property management.  I fell into it as a marketing manager, helping the property to re-brand itself and lease up in a pretty tough time.  After a while I began working as the General Manager and have been doing that for the last seven months or so.  It is a student housing property in Orem, UT called Wolverine Crossing.  It has been a great job .  I’ve had the opportunity to work with great people, work for a great management company with great owners, and have learned and grown in many ways.  Here’s the scenery I’ve been working in for the last year or so.  Pretty beautiful property, no? As some of you may know however, my love and area of study at BYU was advertising.  I love the opportunity to help businesses and brands grow and increase their bottom line, and the associated feeling of satisfaction that comes with that success.  I love sitting on the outside and working as a bit of a consultant to be able to help businesses understand how to bring greater value to their customers.  As such, I have recently taken a job with OrangeSoda as a campaign manager.  As a campaign manager, I will do just that; help small businesses to grow and succeed by helping to provide the services of a growing and extremely cool company.  For more on what OrangeSoda does, please visit their WEBSITE.

It will be hard to leave the friends and business associates that I’ve made at my current job, but look forward to the exciting opportunities that lie ahead.  Thanks for allowing me this opportunity for personal indulgence…I’ll be posting more pictures soon.

Changes of Scenery

April 3, 2010

Utah Valley has a great sense of humor.  It played the cruelest April Fools joke: it snowed!  We were so excited because we thought that Spring was upon us.  With the coming of Spring comes the planning of BBQs, more opportunities to do photo shoots outside, the opportunity to get our color back, and anticipated days at the park with our one-year old.  Never the less, this time of the year brings upon us changes of scenery.  We look forward to the changes of scenery that lie ahead at this time of the year for us, and look forward to sharing images of those changes with you. More to come soon.
