We realize it’s a little late, but we’re posting anyways. About a month ago we welcomed our second child. As expected, we’ve got a lot of pictures of the little guy and will be posting more later. Thanks to our sister-in-laws for helping us document the whole thing.
We had so much fun with this photoshoot. We had a little trouble getting our model to stay still and look at the camera (as you can tell from the pictures), however we captured so many fun pictures in the process. Phoebe has grown up so much and we’re so happy that we got to take her photos. Phoebe we love you and you’re getting so big!
So we need to apologize for not diligently posting like we used to. We promise that we’ll be more consistent. One of the reasons we’ve been so busy (aside from the New Year, resolutions, our son turning 2, family get togethers, work, etc.) is that we’ve been preparing for the arrival of our second child *applause* *laughter* *shouts of joy*.
Being the cute mother that she is (and the great artist), Celena decided that she wanted to take these pictures when she was 20 weeks along (half way through). She struggled getting Kevin to vision the shot she wanted, but she was extremely patient. As we were taking these pictures, our cute little Kaniela decided that he needed to join in. The picture with his little hand was completely random and we’re so grateful for the continuous shooting features of our camera and Kevin’s lightning fast reflexes. However, Kaniela kissing baby took a little bit of coaching. Needless to say, we’re pretty excited about the coming addition to the Kukui Studio family. We can’t wait to plaster his cute little mug all over this photoblog.
We had so much fun taking these family pictures for the Cummings. Their children are beautiful and have such cute personalities. We were fortunate to get a ton of great photos (these are merely a fraction of the pictures that we took). Thanks to the Cummings for letting us take their family pictures this year. We hope you enjoy them.
We had a fun photoshoot today with the beautiful Cummings family. We were able to get so many great pictures. This is just a preview and we’ll be posting much more in the days to come.
Kaniela had such a fun day yesterday with his cousins. We went to McPolin Farm in Park City to have our family pictures taken by Kevin’s sister-in-law Ev (Little Wunders Photography). When we were done, we swapped and took some pictures of her family. We were reminded of an important lesson yesterday: when photographing children, time is of the essence. We wish we could have gotten more pictures of Kelii (Kevin’s brother) and Ev’s family but time was our enemy. It’s a good thing they’re all so photogenic and we were able to get these! Thanks Ev for taking our pictures and in all honesty being one of our biggest motivations in our own photography.
Meet the Timothy Family. We feel so lucky to have been able to take their family pictures this year. Amber is Celena’s cousin and we were so happy when she called and asked if we’d take these pictures. The Timothy children are so cute, very active and so much fun. We love you guys!
This was such a fun photoshoot for us, and we were honored to be able to do it. We wish we would have had more time…the sun went down extremely fast on us and it got cold pretty fast, but are thankful that we were able to get the shots that we did. These are very close family friends. Uncle David and Aunty Flo were visiting from Hawaii and we were able to take these pictures of them and two of their grand children.
Uncle David and Aunty Flo were very influential in Kevin’s life growing up, and we’ve had so much fun watching their grand children, Kaluna and Kekai, grow up. Kaluna and Kekai’s parents are very good friends of ours and have been a real source of strength and support in our lives. We’re glad to have such great extended family here in Utah.
